Are you preparing your APC, or thinking about taking this next step in your career? Of course, knowing where to start can be a bit daunting. The RTPI Membership Team and RTPI NE Young Planners are holding an event in Newcastle to help you with this.
We hope that you would find attending this session will complement what you have learnt so far and help you towards taking the next step in your career.
This event will be chaired by RTPI NE YP Chair Emma Callaghan, Senior Planner at Lichfields and we will also hear from a newly Chartered member. They will share their experience, what worked best for them when completing their APC as well as tips and lessons learnt. We will also hear from Neil Pearce, Membership Assessment Manager at RTPI and provide an opportunity to get an insight into the top tips for a successful APC submission and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls. (This presentation will be given virtually). There will an opportunity to ask questions during both and after the presentations.
Refreshments will be served in the 6.02 Henry Daysh Building from 5.30pm with a prompt 5.45pm start.
This event will also present an opportunity to meet and talk with likeminded planning professionals and students in the North East.
Why attend?
- Whatever stage you are at, this event will provide you with essential guidance on achieving success in your submission. The session is suitable for people following any of the four routes to Chartered membership (L-APC, A-APC, EP-APC or DA-APC).
- You will be briefed on what’s involved in preparing an application, what you need to include and how you present it. It is also a fantastic opportunity to ask questions and hear from others preparing their submissions.
- Planning and built environment professionals are all welcome, as are mentors and employers.
