DA-APC Written Submission
-
You can start your case studies for the DA-APC written submission as soon as you pass through Gateway.
-
You can submit for your DA-APC Written Submission once you have passed your Professional Discussion, have completed your case studies and have 2 years’ full time equivalent professional planning experience. As part of the Chartered Town Planner apprenticeship, you do not need to be a Licentiate for 12 months to submit your DA-APC written submission.
-
Your employer should ensure that you have the opportunity to undertake suitable case studies within the 12 month End Point Assessment period. However, circumstances change and if for unforeseen reasons you are unable to complete them within 12 months, and your employer is happy for you to continue, you can take longer than 12 months to complete your End Point Assessment. You should contact us to discuss this with us.
-
If you have more than the minimum 2 years’ professional planning experience (full-time equivalent) whilst a Chartered Town Planner apprentice, then you may include this experience in your PES if you were working at an appropriate professional level before you started your apprenticeship. You can include this experience in your PES as long as it is corroborated.
You must demonstrate that your experience was at a suitable professional level. ‘Professional level’ is defined as exercising independent professional judgement to make decisions or influence planning outcomes. It is recommended that the PES be structured in chronological order, role by role, to provide comprehensive coverage of your experience to date.

Please use the date you were elected a Licentiate member as the date you went through Gateway. This date will be emailed to you, to confirm you have been elected a Licentiate member. Please record this date at the top of your application form.
