This year’s annual ICN Conference will be held at the Brighton i360 on Wednesday 15th of May 2024.
RTPI President Lindsey Richards and ICN Chair Pete Lloyd will open the conference. This will be followed by sessions on:
- Legal Update
- Biodiversity Net Gain
- Ethics and Professional Standards
- Running your own Business
- Self Build
- Digital Planning
A guided walking tour of the city and evening drinks at The Seahorse will be held the day before, on Tuesday 14th May. This will give ICN members the opportunity to discover the planning challenges and successes of Brighton, as well as network and enjoy each other’s company in the evening.

The annual conference is a must attend event for independent planning consultants as it brings together top professionals from across the UK to discuss their views, ideas and opinions across a variety of topics related to the planning system.

- The venue is a 15-minute downhill walk from Brighton Railway Station (BN1 3XP) or a short ride by taxi.
- Park and Ride is located at Withdean Sports Centre (postcode BN1 5JD). There is no charge for parking, bus fees apply.
- The next closest bus stop to Brighton i360 is on Western Road (Waitrose), which is served by more than fifteen local bus routes. These bus stops have accessible kerbs. It is a gentle five-minute walk downhill to the seafront along Preston Street.
