RTPI North East Young Planners and RICS Matrics North East are delighted to welcome all members and non-members to take a stroll down memory lane and revisit the excitement of your school years, by taking part in a classic Sports Day! A mix of old school classics such as the egg and spoon race, along with some modern twists - it’s sure to bring back the nostalgia of sports day and that competitiveness that comes with it!

The event is being held at Summerhill Bowling Club - a hidden gem in the centre of Newcastle. Teams will compete and spectators will watch, in the historic Georgian surrounds of the Summerhill Conservation Area (where with any luck, we will also be favoured the early summer sun we’re having).

Teams will consist of five members, with a trophy being awarded to the winning team. There are also general tickets available for those who wish to attend, but not compete. Ticket price includes BBQ- food and a drinks token which can be redeemed within the Clubhouse Bar.

This event is kindly sponsored by:

  • Pegasus Group
  • Igloo Regeneration
  • Gleeds

*Games are designed for most outfit types, such as work clothes. However, teams are also welcome to bring a change of clothes for extra comfort.

**In the event of bad weather, the Sports Day activities will be cancelled, and this will revert to a networking event within the Clubhouse. Catering and drinks will still be available.

The Young Planner Network is open to members and non-members - find out more here.
