The Bristol Region Young Planners are delighted to organise a ‘Biodiversity Net Gain in the Urban Environment’ event at Mott MacDonald’s office in Bristol.

Ahead of changes to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) legislation this autumn 2023, this event will be an opportunity to hear from senior specialists and consultants working in both the public and private sector. Attendees will get the opportunity to learn about the changes proposed through the 2021 Environment Act, what BNG means in an urban context and case study examples. This event will provide Young Planners with the skills and confidence of how to achieve biodiversity enhancement and net gain to support and sustain our living environment.

Speakers:

  • Brownfield Sites & BNG
Oliver Glenister, Principal Botanist, Mott MacDonald

  • How to maximise BNG on site – a case study
Joseph Dance, Client Director at Tyler Grange

  • BNG and the Planning Process
    Sarah Curnow, Stephenson Halliday

Attendees are to arrive at 17:30 for networking with presentations starting at 17:45. There will be an opportunity for an open floor discussion and Q&A at the end of the presentations and further networking thereafter. Refreshments and snacks have been kindly provided by Mott MacDonald and the event will conclude at 19:30.

We look forward to seeing you on the night
