RTPI response to National Infrastructure Commission call for evidence

The National Infrastructure Assessment makes recommendations for how the identified infrastructure needs and priorities of the country should be addressed, including on low carbon energy, digital technology, the future for the nation’s roads, encouraging growth of cities, tackling floods and cutting waste.

The RTPI's response was based on two overarching points. Firstly, suggesting the need for more detailed high-level outcomes and a stronger coordination between different strategies and the second that it should provide a clear guide to where decision making powers lie for initiating and regulating the different forms of infrastructure at the level of the UK, the devolved bodies and regional/local authorities plus private companies.
