Facilitated by the CBI Minerals Group and the Mineral Products Association, the UK mineral extraction industry have launched a consultation which seeks stakeholder views on a proposed UK Minerals Strategy.
The RTPI’s response argues that a strong connection is needed between planning or housing, infrastructure and minerals, driven by city-regions and counties and incentivised by MHCLG, and with a national outlook that recognises the need for mineral products to be imported across strategic planning boundaries.
