Planning reports are often lengthy and complex and use technical language. Delivering effective reports for non-planning decision-makers working under time pressure requires striking the right balance between information and clarity.
Masterclass aim:
This Masterclass is designed for you to improve your written reports. It will help you practice how to structure your content for brevity, clarity and impact. It will give you the ability to flex your writing style for different audiences and types of report.
This masterclass is suitable for planners who have report writing duties in their role.

- Write and structure your reports for your audience to help their understanding and improve the decision-making process
- Improve your writing style using plain English when writing for non-planners and professional language when writing for planners
- Use inclusive language
- Practice with the suggested writing tools to produce higher quality reports
Masterclass is delivered by an expert trainer in the field
CPD Masterclass structure:
You will start with the Self-guided Learning that consists of Trainer’s video presentations and exercises on the RTPI Learn platform. This flexible learning prepares you for the Live Interactive Webinar with your Expert Trainer to address your questions and for the discussions with your peers. The Self-guided learning section will take at least 4 hours to complete. The Joining Instructions are sent on the day that the Self-guided learning opens, or after your booking has been processed, if booked after the Self-guided learning start date.

Masterclass booking guidance
- RTPI Members have to log into their RTPI account to make the booking
- Booking for non-members can be done as a group booking by their administrators
