Catherine took up post as Chief Executive of BBNPA (Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority previously known as Brecon Beacons National Park Authority) in July 2021 with a vision to make BBNPA an exemplar of how a National Park Authority can drive action to create a vibrant and sustainable future.

Prior to joining BBNPA Catherine was Director of Growth at the UK Space Agency where she led work on the United Kingdom’s goal of growing the UK space sector, supporting innovation, working closely with international partners, attracting investment, and working across government and with industry and academia to drive a new approach to space in the UK.

Catherine has a range of experience from leading the delivery of major projects at the Home Office to providing strategic policy advice in the criminal justice system.  She also worked abroad for a time for the then Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Catherine is a Chartered Public Finance Accountant and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.  She is a lay member of Council at the University of Bath and is an experienced non-executive director.
