The RTPI is delighted to announce the finalists for the 2025 RTPI Awards for Research Excellence.
The awards recognise and celebrate leading spatial planning research from RTPI- accredited planning schools and RTPI members.
There are 18 finalists with entries covering a range of issues affecting the planning profession, including green transport, short term lets, high density urbanisation and EV charging challenges.
This year there were two newly renamed categories in commemoration of two guiding members of the planning research community who passed away in 2024:
- The Patsy Healey Award for Academic Excellence
- The Tony Crook Award for Early Career Research
The other categories were The Sir Peter Hall Award for Wider Engagement, The Student Dissertation Award and The Practitioner Research Award.
