RTPI welcomes first in-person assessor training since pandemic

This month, we welcomed assessors to our first in-person training sessions since the Covid-19 pandemic. The sessions, taking place in London and Birmingham, were attended by 100 assessors including 15 new recruits, offering a vital opportunity to network with other assessors of all levels of experience.

Assessors are involved in one of the key stages of a planner's career and are central to ensuring that the Institute's high professional standards are maintained. It is vital that assessments are carried out in a thorough and professional manner to ensure that all candidates receive both a consistent standard of assessment and constructive feedback on their submissions.

Our dedicated assessors undertake extensive training and are fully supported in their roles to offer candidates fair and accurate results when applying for Chartered status via the APC process.
