East of England Chair's Award 2025

Chair's Award

We are excited to announce that in 2025, the Chairs Award will recognise our Unsung Hero, an exceptional RTPI volunteer who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make a meaningful difference in the East of England. This award shines a light on the dedication, innovation, and selflessness of individuals who often go unnoticed but play a crucial role in the region’s success. Through acts of kindness, outstanding service, and unwavering support, we believe these remarkable individuals deserve to be celebrated for their contributions.

Alexia Kallini

We are thrilled to announce that Alexia has been recognised for her outstanding contributions to RTPI East of England.

A graduate of Civil Engineering from Aristotle University in Greece in 2019, Alexia furthered her studies with a master's degree in planning at Glasgow, graduating in 2020. She began her professional career at Hertsmere Borough Council, where her dedication and expertise led to her promotion to Senior Planning Officer in 2023.

Alexia has been a member of the Regional Activities Committee for four years. Ever since she joined the Committee, she has been an enthusiastic member, consistently adding value.  What has really shone through is her infectious passion for planning and the development and welfare of planners, as well as developing her own knowledge.

Currently, Alexia is focusing her efforts on heritage-related cases, bolstered by her ongoing studies in Urban Conservation at Oxford Brookes University. Her growing expertise has significantly enhanced our programmes and conferences.
