This webinar forms part of the RTPI Online series and is brought to you by RTPI North East.
Core CPD Framework:
- Climate Change and Environmental Planning
- Championing Planning
- 1 CPD Hour
Event Description
Under the Environment Act 2021, Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) must publish their first biodiversity report by 26 March 2026. This means the groundwork must begin in earnest this year.
These reports will need to include quantitative data on the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) outcomes of every development approved since mandatory BNG came into effect in early 2024. This is a challenging task, requiring the collection and analysis of data across thousands of habitats.
Join our upcoming webinar to learn what public- and private-sector planners need to know about Biodiversity Duty Reporting. We'll share practical steps you can take now to streamline the process and minimise stress.
As a preview, check out Verna’s recent article on the topic here.
We are pleased to announce that Eddie Millar will be chairing this webinar.
