Event Description
Are you preparing your APC, or thinking about taking this next step in your career? Of course, knowing where to start can be a bit daunting. The RTPI Membership Team and RTPI NE Young Planners are holding an event in Newcastle to help you with this.
We hope that you would find attending this session will complement what you have learnt so far and help you towards taking the next step in your career.
This event will be chaired by RTPI NE YP Chair Emma Callaghan, Senior Planner at Lichfields. Joining us will be Michelle Huwlett, Senior Membership Assessment Co-ordinator at RTPI who will guide you through the APC process. Michelle will share valuable insights, including essential tips for a successful APC submission and strategies to avoid common pitfalls. Please note this presentation will be conducted virtually. Additionally, we will hear from newly Chartered members, Joe Kirtley and Jonathan Hobbs, both Town Planners at the Pegasus Group. They will share their personal experience and highlight the strategies that proved most effective during their APC journey, along with key lessons learned. There will be opportunities to ask questions both during and after presentations.
This event will also present an opportunity to meet and talk with likeminded planning professionals and students in the North East.
