
RTPI's Scottish Young Planners' Network are proud to present an event exploring different perspectives on housing viability.
This event is hosted and sponsored by the Wheatley Group.
Two presentations will be held on housing viability, one from the social sector and one from the private sector. This will be followed by a questions and answers session.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to mingle and network, with drinks and snacks provided.

Presentation Title: Viability considerations for affordable housing providers.
As Head of Development for the Wheatley Group, Elspeth is responsible overseeing the delivery of new affordable housing projects through design, viability, legal and contract stages to site start. She has successfully overseen commencement of multiple affordable projects across the country including multi-phase regeneration projects, city centre brownfield sites, s75 delivery and rural development. Elspeth has been working in affordable housing for over 20 years, joining the Wheatley Group in 2016.
Calum Murray, Development Director of CCG Scotland Ltd & Managing Director of CCG Homes Ltd
Calum is a Director of CCG (Scotland) Ltd specialising in land acquisition and urban regeneration. He has successfully led the delivery of many projects across the private and affordable housing sectors and was a founding member and remains a director of City Legacy – the consortium responsible for the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes. He is particularly responsible for development under CCG’s private housing brand, CCG Homes, most recently bringing Edinburgh’s first-ever operational net zero carbon housing development to the market in the form of the 56-home ‘West Shore’ project. An Honours Graduate in Town & Country Planning, Calum has worked in housing and construction for over 30 years joining CCG in 2001.
