Dust off the sketchbooks! Following the success of last year’s outing, North West Young Planners are back with another urban sketching workshop. Whether you’ve never picked up a pen or are a serial doodler, this walking tour will break down sketching as a tool for planners and designers and cover useful techniques and advice in a fun, relaxed setting.
Meeting point: Pollen Bakery, Cotton Field Wharf, 8 New Union St, Manchester, M4 6FQ.
The route will include New Islington Marina, Ancoats and New Cross, where participants will learn how to capture the character, design and stories of these neighbourhoods. Sketching materials will be provided.
This event is aimed at Planners, students and other built environmental professionals interested in sketching.
Accessibility
Due to the nature of this outdoor event, some walking or wheeling will be involved. The route will be fully accessible.
