Event Description
Following the significant increase in housing numbers for many Local Planning Authorities across the West Midlands alongside the need to plan for longer term, strategic growth, new settlements are very much back on the agenda for many areas. This event looks at the issues, challenges and opportunities when planning for new settlements through the Local Plan process and explores how this might work in the new plan-making system.

- understand of what a new settlement is and what good looks like
- develop and apply knowledge when looking at a local plan

Accessibility
- There are several car parks near to the venue.
- Birmingham New Street Station is around a 20-minute walk away.
- Birmingham Snowhill Station is around a 15 -minute walk away.
- The venue is accessible via taxi. Please do check before you travel as there are ongoing road works around the area of the offices.
