Event Description

Hosted by global engineering and development consultancy Mott MacDonald, this event will focus on planning for major infrastructure projects and the consenting process for some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile construction projects.

We will hear from key actors in the consenting process including town planning, environmental and stakeholder management experts about the role that their discipline plays in driving forward development.

With the Government’s focus on speeding up infrastructure delivery, we hope this event will give young planners an insight into the opportunities and challenges associated with infrastructure planning.

Learning outcomes

The event will align with the RTPI’s Core CPD Framework topic: Development and Infrastructure Planning. It will provide planners with valuable insights into infrastructure planning, a critical component of the UK’s planning system.

Our speakers from Mott MacDonald, a leading global engineering, management, and development consultancy. Experts from the company’s town planning, stakeholder engagement, and environmental teams will offer their perspectives on the planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects.

The session will explore key projects of strategic importance to London, and attendees will gain an understanding of the opportunities and challenges inherent in infrastructure planning and delivery in a complex urban environment.

The event will conclude with a Q&A session, offering attendees the chance to ask those burning questions and engage directly with speakers.
