Event Description
Join the RTPI Dorset Young Planners and the National Trust for a walking tour through the Dorset countryside learning about the evolving coastline, and how and why this impacts planning.
Discuss the impacts of tourism on the landscape including:
Balancing visitor needs and the associated infrastructure with coastal change and adaptation;
Coastal erosion and climate change mitigation
Coastal erosion and impact on the historic environment and heritage assets
The sensitivities between sustainable travel, recreational pressure and access to the countryside
Learning outcomes
