Event Description
Join the RTPI Dorset Young Planners and the National Trust for a walking tour through the Dorset countryside learning about the evolving coastline, and how and why this impacts planning.
Discuss the impacts of tourism on the landscape including:
- Balancing visitor needs and the associated infrastructure with coastal change and adaptation
- Coastal erosion and climate change mitigation
- Coastal erosion and impact on the historic environment and heritage assets
- The sensitivities between sustainable travel, recreational pressure and access to the countryside
