RTPI Bristol Region and Dorset Young Planners are excited to bring you a sustainable transport planning webinar with a South West focus.

Creating sustainable developments is key to reducing the impact of climate change. With transport contributing around one-fifth of global CO2 emissions, this webinar will be an opportunity to hear about recent relevant policy and guidance and a sustainable transport case study.

Please join us to hear from our private and public sector guest speakers, followed by an opportunity for Q&A.

  • Caitlin Turley, Associate at Paul Basham Associates  will introduce on Transport Planning documents and Transport Assessments. She will then discuss the  different stakeholders like National Highways and how they require vision statements. She will also review the Decide and Provide method of assessment and Active Travel England as a new stakeholder and the requirements they have in Transport Assessments.

  • Alexis Edwards, Transport Development Manager at BCP Council will be discussing sustainable modes and the business case process e.g. how do I get my monorail for example including how things are planned, funded or delivered.

  • Mark Day Associate at ARUP  will discuss Tomorrow’s Living Station’, a report which identifies the significant role TP can play in town and cities and some discussion around some of the relevant Arup projects.
