There is wide acceptance of the vital role planning has to adapting and mitigating for climate change, but what powers do local authorities have to set policies and targets, and what are the challenges to successfully adopting ambitious climate policies?  

Focusing on policies for net zero and reducing carbon emissions from buildings, this event reviews emerging planning policy from leading local authorities in the context of national legislation and changes to national planning policy.
