The Bristol Young Planners are excited to bring you the return of the Summer Boat Social.
This year will be the 8th year the boat social has run and provides an opportunity to network with other young planners while enjoying a tour of Bristol Harbourside. Meet and connect with other planners within the region and share your experiences within an informal social setting. This will be a great opportunity to meet people associated with all aspects of planning, including local authority, consultancy, academia and developers and a great chance to catch up with existing contacts over the past few years!
The 2 hour trip will consist of a tour around Bristol’s historic floating harbourside, starting at Welsh Back Ferry Landing and ending at King Street. We will have one pub stop along the way, where we can disembark and grab a drink (don’t worry there is also a bar on-board) before our final destination and drop-off point at King Street. We will then head for food.
- Meeting Point: The boat will be leaving the Welsh Back Ferry Landing (immediately north of Three Brothers on King Street) at 6:30pm prompt, therefore please arrive by 6:15pm at the latest to allow enough time to register. For safety reasons you will be required for the duration of the boat trip, which is 2 hours.
- Times: 6:30pm – 8:30pm for the boat trip. The final drop-off point will be by King Street, Welsh Back, 8:30pm – onwards for food.
- Cost: £18.00 exc VAT. The trip will include pizza at the Beer Emporium after the boat tour. Drinks can be purchased on the boat.
- Booking: Places are limited for 32 people on a first-come, first-served basis. if you have a physical disability please do contact us first before booking.
