An assessment of NPF4 one year on from three perspectives – a legal perspective, a local authority perspective and a consultancy perspective. This will explore the successes, challenges and controversies that have emerged as NPF4 embeds itself into the planning system. The speakers will reflect upon case law, appeals and experience from practice in their discussions and consider how the practice of planning in Scotland has to adapt to take onboard NPF4.

The legal perspective will be delivered by Ewan MacLeod, Partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn. The consultant’s perspective will be delivered by Bob Salter FRTPI, Director at Geddes Consulting. The local authority perspective will be delivered by Kate Hopper MRTPI, Development Planning & Environment Manager at West Lothian Council and Matthew Watson MRTPI, Planning Officer at West Lothian Council.

The talks will be followed by a round table Q&A discussion.

We are pleased to confirm that Shepherd and Wedderburn will be hosting the event at their offices at 9 Haymarket Square, Edinburgh EH3 8FY.
