Alex McCallion, Director of Works & Precinct will lead a tour of York Minster’s Precinct introducing the recently adopted York Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Plan and taking in each of the four key policy areas and taking in first three completed projects of the Plan, including the York Minster Refectory which incorporated the first solar tiles on a listed building in York.

The tour will conclude with a visit to see the exhibition of the making of the statue of the late Queen which now stands on the West Front of York Minster.

The statue was created using the blend of traditional craft skills and cutting edge technology which will become symbolic of the Centre of Excellence for Heritage Craft Skills & Estate Management when it opens in autumn 2024.

Evensong will take place at the Minster at 5.30pm, which people are more than welcome to stay for.

Meeting Point

**We will meet under the statue of Queen Elizabeth II which is next to the Great West Door at the front of the Minster**
