This is a joint webinar between the RTPI and Public Health colleagues from Yorkshire and Humber, the North East and North West.

The connection between planning and health and wellbeing outcomes is now well established. Following on from last year’s successful webinar, there was a clear message from participants that they wanted to learn more about this topic.

In this insightful webinar, aimed at planners, other built environment and public health professionals, we will explore both the challenges and opportunities in tackling health inequality and how these professions can work together to create healthy places for all. In particular, this will focus on what is happening across the country in relation to how health priorities are being taken forward through Local Plans, best practice in relation to how health can influence planning outcomes at a combined authority level, the important role that active travel can play in this agenda and practical experience on how health impact assessments are being used to inform planning decisions at the local level.
