This event will start with breakfast on arrival, followed by an hour seminar led by CMS’s group of experts who will talk about the key provisions in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill, the Infrastructure Levy and Biodiversity Net Gain.

The Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill (LURB) was introduced to Parliament on 11 May 2022 and the ambition was to “put the foundations for delivering the government’s agenda and ensuring that all parts of the country share equally the nation’s success”.

Almost a year and a half later LURB is still under review with the most recent consultation being announced on 25th July 2023.

The Biodiversity Net Gain was introduced by the Environment Act 2021 and will bring significant amendments to the planning system to ensure that the habitat for wildlife will be left in better condition than it was before a development takes place.
