Neurodiversity is a term that recognises the variety in the way we speak, think, move, act and communicate; that human brains are diverse and vary from person to person. As a consequence, the way we interact with our environment also varies from person to person. This event aims to explore innovative strategies for creating spaces that cater to the diverse needs of all individuals, including those with neurodiverse conditions. Speakers will use case studies to delve into the principles of inclusive design, emphasising the importance of creating environments that are welcoming and accessible to people of all abilities and backgrounds. This involves considering physical accessibility, usability, and aesthetics.

The event will feature discussions and presentations on neurodiversity, fostering a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and preferences of individuals with neurodiverse conditions. Participants will explore how the built environment can be adapted to accommodate these diverse needs.

The event will also cover current policies and regulations related to inclusive design and neurodiversity, encouraging participants to stay informed about legal requirements, industry standards and best practice.
