The RTPI East Midlands Young Planners and Regional Activities Committee are delighted to be hosting a walking tour of three exciting developments within Leicester: the award winning Great Central Square development, the new St Margaret’s Bus Station in Leicester and the redevelopment of Bath Lane.

The guided tour will explore the genesis of the development of the sites, the navigation of the schemes through the planning process, and the future development plans for the remainder of Great Central Square.

The tour will also include insightful contributions from members of Marrons Planning (the developer of Great Central Square, Charles Street Buildings’, planning consultants), as well as from Leicester City Council.

The tour will conclude at the new Lane7 for a Q&A, the opportunity to network, and for complimentary refreshments.

This event promises to be extremely popular so be sure to get your tickets now to avoid being disappointed.

We will gather at 9:15am at St Margaret’s Bus Station. An email will go out to bookers before the event with details of the specific rendezvous point. The tour will then commence at 9:30am prompt. We expect to conclude the tour at Lane7 at approximately 11:30am.

The majority of the tour will be outdoors. Please therefore dress appropriately.
