RTPI North East brings this webinar to you as part of the RTPI Online event series.

With the next COP in Egypt fast approaching it’s time to look again at what has been achieved since COP 26 in Glasgow. This webinar will review progress towards the UK and global commitments, identify the next layer of action for Planners to be part of the solution and we will examine the role of towns and cities in terms of emission reductions and nature based solutions to climate change.

I am pleased to confirm that this webinar will be chaired by Jan Bessell, Strategic Planning Advisor
for Pinsent Masons LLP.  Jan is also a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute (FRTPI).

Speakers and topics

Tim Crawshaw, Royal Town Planning Institute President (International Planning and Development Consultant - Crawshaw Urban Design)
Keeping 1.5 Alive Through Global Crises

Duncan Booker, COP26 Stakeholder Manager at Glasgow City Council
Duncan will talk about Glasgow’s legacy from hosting COP26 and how it has helped to add momentum to their existing ambitions on emissions reductions and climate resilience
