We are delighted to be holding a join free event with the Landscape Institute and to hear from Kevin Johnson, Landscape Institute member who has recently retired from a long and illustrious career as a Principal Landscape Architect at Sunderland City Council.

Kevin has volunteered to share his experiences during his career, mainly in the public sector. His talk will also touch on publicly funded work in the wider region from the 80s to the present day, such as Development Corporations. Kevin will also talk about the New Towns of the 70s sharing experiences from colleagues who had worked on them.

The conclusion will be basically that public sector landscape architects are a good thing, and it remains a valid career choice! There is crossover with planners so all will find this talk very interesting.

Refreshments available at 5.30pm in Room 6.02 Henry Daysh Building. Talk starts promptly at 6.00pm.

This event is expected to be popular and with limited tickets we suggest you book early.

In partnership with the Landscape Institute.
