Note that this event has been postponed from 14 September.

COVID has accelerated high street trends and encouraged us to rethink our relationship with town and local centres. The government promotes levelling-up, and partnerships continue to deliver on the ground. This session brings together speakers from the public and private sectors covering socio-economic, design and delivery themes, case studies, local authority perspective and an interactive workshop.

Programme and Speakers:

Chair: Jim Fox - Jim Fox Placemaking, HSTF

  • High Streets Task Force, Place Management & Redefining Viability - The National Picture - Regine Sonderland Saga and Joe Barratt, Institute of Place Management
  • Responsive & Adaptive Transformation - Design and the High Street - Jaimie Ferguson, OPEN
  • Keep It Local - A Personal Perspective - Jim Fox, Jim Fox Placemaking, HSTF
  • Delivering Town Centre Regeneration - A Commercial Angle - Heather Standidge, Cushman & Wakefield
  • Managing the Regeneration of Crewe - A Local Authority View - Jez Goodman, Cheshire East Council
  • Town Centre Strategies - A Collaborative Approach - Steve Hill, Hyas
