Eloise Maguire is a Digital Policy Lead on the Digital Planning Programme in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Eloise leads on policy, engagement and legislation to help create the foundations for a modernised planning system. Having joined the department in 2018, Eloise previously worked in local government and has led on digital projects in the planning directorate.

Contamination and Soils Waste Management

Andrew is a Principal Consultant at Roberts Environmental and provides a broad range of experience, covering the management, design, and implementation of geo-environmental site investigation, the production of Phase 1, Phase 2 and Validation reports, landfill gas assessment and the management of multi-disciplinary development projects. Andrew has worked in both the private and public sector, having worked for Watermen Energy Environment and Design, Environmental Resources Management and the James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen. Andrew is a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, a Chartered Environmentalist(CEnv) and recently was appointed as a CL:AIRE Qualified Person.

Agricultural Land Classification Assessments (ALCs)

Lauren is a Principal Consultant at Roberts Environmental and provides a range of experience within land contamination and human health risk assessment, including the production of Phase 1, Phase 2 and Remediation Method Statement reports, Remediation Verification and Validation, Ground Gas Risk Assessment and Environmental Due Diligence. Lauren has worked on Brownfield sites for a wide range of clients within the public and private sectors, having previously worked for 3e Consulting Engineers and Cundall Johnston and Partners. Lauren also has extensive experience conducting Agricultural Land Classification surveys and Waste Deployment applications within Greenfield settings. Lauren is a member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (MIEnvSc) and the British Society of Soil Science (M.I. Soil Sci).

Darran has 22 years’ experience in the highways and transportation field, having worked for both the public and private sector across the UK, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transportation (CILT). As Director of Milestone Transport Planning, he has an overarching role offering support to all business units across the company, in addition to being the lead for the northern office. As such, Darran has extensive and current project experience of all aspects of Policy Work, Feasibility Studies, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Highway Design, Site Supervision and Planning Appeals. Additionally, Darran is the Chair of the CIHT’s Learned Society and Technical Strategy Board, which directs the institution’s policy and technical affairs, meaning Darran has an enviable reputation and profile in the industry, helping to cement his position as one of the leaders of his profession.

Paul has been employed by FES since 2008 and is responsible for managing all aspects of technical knowledge within the Group as well as working with the Head of Business Development to develop new services.

Paul has extensive experience of Part L & Section 6, lodging over 10,000 EPC certificates personally and having worked with several top housebuilders in order to assist them with elements of their portfolio specification in relation to Part L & Section 6. There are few people within the UK who share the detailed knowledge of Part L & Section 6 and SAP modelling that Paul offers.

Darren has been the Flood Risk Manager at Newcastle City Council since 2016. His Flood Management team acts as the Lead Local Flood Authority in Newcastle with primary responsibilities for implementing flood alleviation schemes to better protect at-risk properties and acting as consultee to the LPA on flood risk and drainage.

Darren was a key partner in the Blue Green Cities Project (2015-2020) that made the academic case for the use of Blue Green Infrastructure in an urban environment. He drafted the Blue Green Declaration signed by a range of partners in the City, including the RTPI. He is currently working with the Environment Agency to implement a major Climate Resilient City project based on blue green principles.
