This CPD roundtable event will provide an introduction to section 106 agreements and planning obligations for private and public Young Planners. The event will explore why section 106 agreements are required, how they are secured, which parties are involved and how they can be enforced. We aim to help identify where Young Planners can help in this process and some of the key considerations and issues arising, whether acting in a private or public sector capacity. We will be joined on the panel by Stuart Tym (Partner) and Rachael Coulsting (Senior Associate) from Shoosmiths and Sarah Chapman the Legal & Governance Manager at Rugby Borough Council. The event will be chaired by Mark McFadden and Frances Keenan from the West Midlands Young Planners with an opportunity for a Q&A at the end of the session.

Drinks and nibbles and the opportunity to network will be provided after the discussion; however, for those unable to make it in person, the event will be filmed, and the highlights made available via a weblink after the event.
