RTPI East of England and RIBA East, in association with the Cambridge Association of Architects, invite you to our walking tour on Wednesday 23 March around the Stirling Prize nominated Key Worker Housing at Eddington by the University of Cambridge and Stanton Williams Architects. The walk will be led by the people who built it and the community who live in it. As part of this fascinating walk, we will look at the the homes, community areas and sustainable infrastructure of the most significant capital project that the University of Cambridge has undertaken in its 800-year history. The walk will be followed by lunch, with plenty of opportunity for networking with colleagues across sectors.

10:00am – 10:30am – Arrival and welcome refreshments
10:30am – 11:00am – Introductory presentations and orientation from University of Cambridge Estates, Stanton Williams Architects and Eddington Residents' Association
11:00am – 12:30pm – Walking tour, route tbc
12:30 – 2:00 – Lunch and networking

COVID19 and H&S
The health and safety of RTPI members, staff and all participants is very important. This event organised by RTPI East of England will therefore only take place if local government advice in relation to the pandemic allows for group gatherings at the time of the event. To ensure that everyone can enjoy the event safely, all participants should follow the any guidelines issued by government which may include the wearing of a mask and maintaining social distancing. If we have to cancel or reschedule the event, a refund or credit will be offered. A full risk-assessment will also be carried out and made available in advance.
Prior to attending this event all attendees will be strongly encouraged to:
- Take an NHS approved lateral flow test and get in touch with the event organiser should a positive test be returned. NHS approved Lateral Flow tests are free with more details on where to order available here.
- Take up the Government’s advice to be vaccinated to protect you and those around you.
As part of the registration process, registrants must agree to our terms and conditions, which include adhering to our outlined Covid-19 safety protocols in place at the time and following any guidance requested by the venue.
