This webinar has been organised by volunteers on the South West task group for Planning Aid England (PAE) and forms part of the RTPI Events online series.

This event is an opportunity to hear from elected members and a Principal Planning Officer about their experience of the Local Plan process, including best practice and pitfalls. The webinar will include plans at different stages, such as an adopted Local Plan (Sedgemoor) , an adopted Joint Local Plan (Plymouth and South West Devon) and a local plan currently under production (BCP).

This webinar has been developed for elected members and therefore will focus on the role of elected members in the local plan process, but could be useful for anyone who is interested in how elected members engage in the local plan process.

Please get in contact should you have any questions in advance, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions during the webinar

Please note this event is not intended to constitute formal member training, but as a useful supplement to your relevant council's training programme.
