The one-hour tour will provide an insight into the construction of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge bridge spanning the Avon Gorge through a visit into the bridge’s vaults (which were rediscovered in 2002). The tour itself will take place within the abutment on the Leigh Woods-side of the bridge and will be led by the Clifton Suspension Bridge Trust.

The tour involves descending down into the vaults via a vertical ladder so sturdy shoes and practical clothing are required! Hard hats and hi-vis jackets will be provided by the Bridge. Please refer to the Access Guide for further details on access restrictions and safety measures during the tour.

Due to popularity there will be 2 tours on offer 6 to 7pm and 7 to 8pm. Currently there are only places on the 7pm tour.

From 6pm - 9pm you are invited to join us at a pub close by in Clifton Village for a chance to socialise and catch up whilst each tour takes place – further details will be circulated nearer the time.
