Join us for a walk around Severnside area in Gloucestershire. Severnside ‘Nature Park’ is an area of land on the fringes of Gloucester with a rich and varied landscape and a lot of potential. Led by Meyrick Brentnall at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and Graeme Buckworth at Enovert, participants will learn the background to Regional Parks in the UK and visually see and discuss the sort of interventions that can lead to an increase in Biodiversity, amenity, landscape and climate resilience within the identified severnside area.

Walk specifics:

  • Time – 10.00 start and finishing with lunch and networking at 13.00
  • Walking difficulty - It is a moderate walk consisting of flat walkways which may be muddy and uneven in places.  
  • Meeting point: The walk will start from Castlemeads Car Park Castlemeads Way Gloucester GL1 2NH (pay and display). This is also a 10 – 15 min walk from Gloucster bus/train station.
  • Finish – In Hempsted and then a bus back to the Quays where we will go to Tank on Gloucester Docks for lunch and networking. The car park is a short walk from there.
  • The walk will be limited in numbers (15) so early booking is recommended.
