RTPI West of Scotland is delighted to be joined by two representatives of The Scottish Land Commission to discuss the recent work of the Commission and its relevance to planning in Scotland.

The event will explore some of the latest work of the Commission, including Housing Land, Vacant and Derelict Land, Land Taxation, The role of Land Reform in the context of Draft NPF4, Rural Land Markets and Community Wealth Building.

The Scottish Land Commission was established in 2017 and is wholly funded by Scottish Government. It aims to make the most of Scotland’s land by stimulating fresh thinking, supporting change on the ground and, where appropriate, making recommendations to Scottish Ministers for legislative and policy change in the following three priority areas of work: reforming land rights, embedding responsible land ownership and use, and reforming land markets.
