Get out and about with planning colleagues on a walking tour! With thanks to Norwich City Council, we are hosting a tour of Norwich’s historic lanes to pick out the most interesting historic buildings, to highlight best practice in blending the new and the old, and to show how public realm improvements can make a medieval city work for everyone in 21st century.

Our tour will take us from the marketplace, and via some of the city’s most recognisable streets, to pick out where the contribution of planners makes all the difference. We will also be looking at one of Norwich’s most important sites – Anglia Square – to understand what’s next for this major redevelopment site. Officers from the City Council will be lending their expertise, and as well as being a chance to learn about Norwich, there will be plenty of ‘take-away’ lessons for everyone – irrespective of where you work in the region.

This is also a chance to learn and catch-up with colleagues, so also feel free to join us for an optional pub lunch afterwards.

(Please note that this event will start at Blackfriars' Hall but will be outside too. It will involve walking for a total of 2-3 miles. Delegates will need to consider appropriate footwear and to be mindful of prevailing weather conditions on the day.)
