Join us in Edinburgh in person or online for the RTPI's first ever hybrid conference!

2021 marks a significant year as the world responds to a Climate Crisis. In August of this year the UN issued a "code red" climate crisis warning and in the Autumn world leaders are to come together for COP26 to agree on a number of key goals to reduce carbon emissions, protect communities and habitats and work together to tackle the climate crisis. But how will this shape the place we live, work and play? How can planning address the climate crisis and what is our place as Young Planners in responding to this crisis?

This hybrid conference will explore our response to climate change through three themes: the past, the present, and the future. We will be joined by speakers from across the UK who will discuss ways in which we can achieve green recovery and respond to the climate crisis. The conference will explore the ways in which places are adapting to climate change, it will reflect on our past experiences, and it will look to the future and discuss the ways in which we can build resilience into future plan making.

Please note that in-person tickets are limited and recordings will not be made available to the public so please book your place to avoid disappointment.

The conference will be held at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, Scotland.

Please be aware that we are unable to issue invoices for amounts under £500 on web bookings. If you are unable to make a card payment please contact [email protected]
