This webinar forms part of our RTPI Online series and is brought to you by the North West Region.

A webinar by Cheshire Constabulary on the importance of designing out crime in the built environment and the role of the DOCO (Designing out Crime Officer).

This webinar introduces the importance of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) with the aim of creating safer communities for all.

The session also looks at the role of the Designing out Crime Officer, who provides specialist crime prevention and reduction advice to planners, architects, developers and any other stakeholders with the aim of reducing / preventing crime in communities.  This in turns promotes confidence and public safety to the community.
