This webinar forms part of our RTPI Online series and is brought to you by the North West Region.

The Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of outdoor space for public health, whilst planners' attention was re-focused onto the delivery of 'beautiful' buildings.  This session aims to help planners to understand the part that landscape character assessments, and landscape and visual impact assessments, play in achieving high-quality, sustainable forms of development.  Speakers will outline the multiple benefits of landscape-led development proposals, incorporating blue and green infrastructure and increased woodland cover as part of the 2021 'Green Recovery' plan.

Speakers:

  • John Jeffcock - Landscape Architect (Chair)
  • Kate Bailey - Landscape Planner
  • Michelle Bolger - Landscape Architect
