In July 2019, the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, declared a Climate Emergency in London and committed to making a zero-carbon city by 2050. As part of London’s response to this, a London Climate Action Week was held which focused on community action, business leadership, clean energy, adaptation and resilience, climate finance, low emission transport and consultancy services.

This webinar will focus on how local authorities have risen to the 'climate action challenge' since the state of emergency was declared.

During this webinar, we will ask:

  • What steps are currently being taken?
  • Has Covid-19 halted progress?
  • How are local authorities changing the way they do things and are they seeing a difference in the types of applications coming through?

Speakers:

  • Kate Hogarth -Climate Change and Sustainability – Programme and Partnerships Lead - London Borough of Lambeth
  • Jo Gay -Team Leader: Environmental Policy and Projects - Westminster City Council
  • tbc
  • Chair - Katie Lidington - Associate Director - Woods PLC
