This session will explore how planners can ensure that health impacts are seen as a mainstream part of their work, be that in development planning or development management. It will consider questions including what tools can be used to this? Do the place principle and the place standard have roles to play? Do we need to change the culture of planning? Should we put improving health and tackling health inequalities as a key ambition for planning? Should we translate this into policy in the emerging 4th National Panning Framework?
