The RTPI Planning Enforcement Week forms part of the RTPI online series and is brought to you by the RTPI's NAPE Network in association with RTPI Cymru, RTPI Scotland and RTPI Northern Ireland.

The Enforcement Notice is the most commonly used instrument to remedy a breach of planning control. It is therefore vital that enforcement notices are accurate and able to stand up to scrutiny. This session will look at three case studies presented by Marcus Bayona-Martinez (Vale of Glamorgan Council), Tom Wicks (Enforcement Services and NAPE South East Management Committee Representative), and Beverly Smith (Moray Council) to explore this issue, and the challenges enforcement teams can face when an enforcement notice is found to be defective.
