As we are now ‘all’ mostly settled in our working from home environment, adapting our routines and embracing technology….we have experienced how we ‘can’ maintain the pace of work and continue our learning and professional development. I am sure most of you have already joined the wide variety of RTPI webinars that are on offer, allowing us to learn from professionals from across the UK.

However what is more challenging is being able to replicate the value of networking, that common interest conversation you may have across the table or in the ‘queue for lunch’ at a physical conference. These mixed audience instances would allow you to explore the theme of event more closely, sharing experiences and form new connections.

On the 10 December join me, Dawn de Vries (pictured) for an informal open house event where you can come and talk with other planners in the South West region. We will initiate the conversation with themes on working from home, maintaining engagement with communities, The Planning White Paper and ‘Building Back Better’ – our aspirations for Planning in 2021 onwards, but otherwise we will take the conversation as the meeting naturally leads us.

The meeting will be limited in numbers to ensure everyone has a chance to exhange thoughts and ideas. It is only open to RTPI Members and will be hosted on GoTo Meeting
