Viability in planning has become increasingly important in the past few years so a basic understanding of the key matters surrounding viability is important for Young Planners to understand. In this talk, Sarah Gregory, Associate Director at Savills, will talk through the principles of viability assessments from a surveyors perspective. This will cover the methodology used and break down some of the technical terminology that gets used in such assessments. We will also touch on what to look out for in a viability assessments, and what the current RICS guidance is.
