This event forms part of the RTPI Online Events 2020 series and is brought to you by Dumfries and Galloway Chapter.
This event shares information from a recent care campus study tour to the Netherlands and Denmark.
Four different places were visited to look in more detail at models of housing and care in Europe. Each location provided a different type of housing including a purpose-built self-contained, dementia village designed to meet local needs, a nursing home which allows students to live rent-free alongside elderly residents as part of a project to ward off the negative effects of aging and a couple of co-housing communities, one which blends historic buildings with a new purpose-built building.
