By Machel Bogues, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the RTPI
On Saturday, 5 July 2025, the RTPI will march in the Pride in London Parade, standing alongside our partner institutes, CIOB, ICE, the LI, RIBA, and RICS.
Last year marked our first time marching together as part of the BE Inclusive partnership. This year, we return with renewed purpose, following the recent re-signing of our Memorandum of Understanding. The refreshed agreement not only reaffirms the commitment of the founding partners but also welcomes two new signatories: The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
This new chapter signals a powerful message: our collective dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion is stronger than ever. We are proud of what we’ve achieved over the past three years, and with this renewed partnership, we’re determined to go further and make an even greater impact.
For us, taking part in Pride in London is far more than simply joining a parade, it’s a public expression of our values. It’s a moment to stand up for our LGBTQ+ colleagues, celebrate their contributions, and commit ourselves to a future where every individual feels seen, safe, and supported in the built environment professions.
We are inviting RTPI members to join us on the day. Wristbands will be available to RTPI members on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait too long to sign up. Add your name and email in the link to register your interest before Monday , and we’ll be in touch.
