Candidates for the Board of Trustees in 2026 

There are two vacancies for Trustees on the RTPI Board of Trustees in 2026. Trustees are elected by members of the RTPI's General Assembly.

General Assembly members will be sent a unique code from Mi-Voice to use when casting their vote. Voting closes at 5pm on 15 September 2025.

The seven candidates standing for election are shown below, alongside their nomination summary statement.

 

 

 

Alison Blom-Cooper

Ensuring a strong planning profession and champion the importance of public sector planners to deliver growth that supports inclusive and healthy placemaking.

Rebecca Dewey

I will be an effective and commercial voice of challenge, working hard to support the strategic direction of the Institute and the needs of members.

Maria Dunn

An experienced local government planner with a passion for the profession and a good strong track record of volunteering with the RTPI.

Peter Geraghty

I will bring knowledge, experience and passion for planning. Ready to fight for the interests of planners and the planning profession both nationally and internationally.

Adam Place

How will I contribute as a RTPI Chartered Trustee for the betterment of the profession? How do you eat an elephant? Together.

Tom Venables

If elected I will ensure the RTPI continues to advocate for members and ensures our professional “brand” is recognised as innovative, creative and vital.

Jennifer Winyard

Its the most powerful way for me to play a fundamental role in the strategic development of the RTPI and champion RTPI's profile positively.
